Recently, we had the opportunity to work with a local medical group that transports specialized medical equipment to various locations. Their challenge? Safely and efficiently loading and unloading heavy medical devices from the trunk of a KIA. The solution needed to be practical, durable, and space-efficient—so we got to work.

The Challenge: Transporting Heavy Medical Equipment

Medical professionals often carry essential equipment that can be cumbersome and difficult to lift. To streamline their process, they needed a custom stand to mount a winch system—allowing them to easily pull the equipment in and out of the vehicle.

However, there were key factors to consider:
✅ Secure & Stable: The stand had to be securely fastened to the vehicle frame for stability.
✅ Space Optimization: The stand needed to function without compromising passenger space.
✅ Ease of Use: The design had to allow for quick and efficient operation.

The Solution: A Custom-Built Winch Stand

Our engineering and fabrication team designed a bolt-on stand that mounts directly to the KIA’s frame. With the seats folded down, the winch effortlessly pulls the medical equipment into the trunk, minimizing strain on the user. But the real innovation? If the seats are up, two passengers can still sit comfortably in the back!

We engineered the stand to be compact yet powerful, allowing flexibility for both work and transport. Now, the medical team can focus on what they do best—bringing essential healthcare services to those in need—without worrying about the logistics of moving heavy equipment.
