Mark Andol, GWFab’s founder, is a third-generation Greek-American with a knack for turning challenges into triumphs. After launching General Welding & Fabricating in 1989, he faced a brutal hit in 2008 when overseas competition gutted half his business. Instead of folding, he fought back—starting GWFab’s repair focus and later the Made in America Store. When repair clients roll in, Mark often hops on their trucks or trailers, delivering his signature line: “Because China is a long drive to work!” The crowd erupts in cheers, inspired by his grit and humor.
