Important Details for the Day:

Bring Along: To ensure your comfort and safety, please bring your own lawn chairs and eclipse glasses.

Eclipse Schedule:

The partial phase begins at 2:04 p.m., as the moon starts covering the sun.

Totality is set to awe us at around 3:15 p.m., lasting for approximately 3 minutes and 45 seconds.

Following totality, the moon will gradually uncover the sun, concluding the eclipse for Buffalo viewers at about 4:30 p.m.

Safety First:

In line with recommendations from the Rochester Museum and Science Center/Strasenburgh Planetarium, it’s crucial to wear your eclipse glasses during the partial phases. While it’s tempting to remove glasses during totality, ophthalmologists advise keeping them on for a bit before totality begins and putting them back on a couple of minutes before it ends, ensuring your eyes are protected.

This Solar Eclipse viewing party promises to be an enchanting experience for all. We look forward to sharing this momentous occasion with you. Prepare to be WOWED by the cosmic spectacle, the camaraderie of our community, and the array of festivities awaiting you at the Made in America Store.
